Burleigh Heads

Burleigh Heads

Burleigh Heads is a world famous surf destination known for its golden sand and pristine ocean. It was one of the first coastal settlements between Coolangatta and Southport.

Early amusements, such as a ferris wheel on the beach, an ocean pool on the point, and a dance floor high in the hilltop bush, added to its appeal. It has been the scene of many great surfing contests, and is the international headquarters of the popular surf brand, Billabong.
